Position: Communications, Fundraising and Development Manager
Location: Nairobi Kenya

Our client is a leading youth, social enterprise organisation that is headquartered in Canada. The organisation focuses on harnessing and transforming youth into leaders in their communities through technology and social entrepreneurship learning experiences. The position is based in Nairobi.

To meet the needs of new programmes, the organization wishes to recruit a Communications Fundraising and Development Manager. Reporting to the position are: Alumni Officer and Communication Officer. The position reports to The Country Director.

Key responsibilities include:
• Develop a Kenya fundraising strategy and ensure implementation of the same
• Responsible for local branding and image. Implement brand and image policy
• Set and agree on fundraising targets and plans with the Country Director
• Design and develop a communications strategy and implement
• Develop a data base of local and international potential funders and sponsors
• Develop and maintain a large network of funders, donors and sponsors and  maintain good relations
• Prepare regular reports on fund raising activities
• Work closely with Alumni & Events officer in developing strategies
• Develop with Alumni officer on related fundraising strategies and campaigns.

The Pre-requisites
• A Bachelors Degree in Marketing/Commerce or other related field
• Or related first Degree and Diploma in Marketing or Business
• At least 5 years experience in NGO environment 2 of which must be in fund raising
• Training in Public Relations is an added advantage
• High level of technology proficiency.
