Position: Finance and Administration Manager
Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Our client is a leading youth, social enterprise organisation that is headquartered in Canada. The organisation focuses on harnessing and transforming youth into leaders in their communities through technology and social entrepreneurship learning experiences. The position is based in Nairobi.

To meet the needs of new programmes, the Organization wishes to recruit for the position of Finance Manager. This position reports to the Country Director. Three positions report to the  Finance Manager. These are Finance Officer, Administration/HR Officer and IT Officer.

Key responsibilities include:
• Develop annual budget for approval and monitor the implementation
• Guide and support all other managers in development of departmental budgets
• Ensure efficient and professional day to day financial activities
• Compile monthly financial reports and cash advance requests for Country use and also  for the Global Office
• Establish and maintain the organisations Assets Register
• Assist the Country Director in recruitment of staff
• Ensure the update and adherence to human resource policies and procedures manual
• Establish and implement a performance management process for all program staff;
• Ensure all financial statutory requirements are met at all times
• Ensure professional working relationships with external Auditors and other financial  institutions such as Banks and KRA
• Develop, maintain and ensure implementation of an Operations Manual including the  Finance Manual
• Ensure availability and updates of computer hardware and applications
• Ensure effective use and update of technology within the organisation
• Deputise the Country Director when need arises.

The Pre-requisites
• A Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting or other related Degree. An MBA is an added  advantage
• CPA(K)
• Minimum of 10 years relevant experience, 3 of which must be at a management level
• Experience in working with NGOs and Donor reporting is essential
• Experience in fund raise is an added advantage.
