Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Manager
Location: Nairobi Kenya

Our client is a leading youth, social enterprise organisation that is headquartered in Canada The organisation focuses on harnessing and transforming youth into leaders in their communities through technology and social entrepreneurship learning experiences. The position is based in Nairobi.

To meet the needs of new programmes, the organization wishes to recruit a Monitoring and Evaluation Manager (M&E). Reporting to the Country Director.

Key responsibilities include:
• Ensure successful development and implementation of the country M&E plan
• Clarify the information needs at all levels including stakeholders
• Lead the development of M&E frameworks and tools for country specific initiatives
• Manage data collection and analysis as stipulated in M&E plan
• Establish and implement Quality Assurance and adherence of the organisation’s standards
• Review monitoring reports, analyse impact and to identify the causes of potential  bottlenecks in project implementation and recommend actions
• Undertake regular field visits to ensure implementation of plan
• Draft and monitor the budget for M&E in collaboration with the Finance Manager
• Prepare and submit regular reports
• Produce and disseminate information to share lessons learned and for communications, advocacy and/or policy dialogue purposes
• Supervise, motivate and develop own staff.

The Pre-requisites
• A Relevant first degree. A Masters degree is an added advantage
• Certificate in Project Management with a strong M&E component
• At least 3 years experience in M&E with an NGO. Experience in working with international NGOs with global systems is an added advantage
• Experience working with the youth
• A strong technology background is also an added advantage.
• Evidenced experience in design of M&E tools
• Experience in use of data collection softwares
