Scholarship opportunity: Swinburne University of Technology
Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia, offers three-year PhD scholarships, worth approximately A$49,000 per annum (including a A$23,728 p/a stipend, and a tuition fee scholarship). We are particularly interested in students with a training in history, anthropology or related disciplines in the humanities or social sciences, who would like to work on projects in the following areas:
- refugee resettlement
- refugee and asylum seeker policy
Successful applicants would be located at the Swinburne Institute for Social Research, and supervised by Professor Sandy Gifford and/or Professor Klaus Neumann. Pending the granting of an Australian visa, successful applicants could enrol as early as January 2013.
Non-native English speakers will need to provide evidence of their language skills at the time of application (TOEFL or IELTS test, or 24 months of full-time study in English).
