Assets & Production Accountant
SuperSport Kenya Local Productions Limited division seeks to
appoint an experienced candidate in the role of Assets / Production Accountant.
This is a dual role position reporting to the Fixed Asset Manager, based in our
SA offices and, the Finance Manager based in our Kenyan Offices. This
position requires a figure oriented, dynamic, and experienced person who will
take up responsibility for the full range of
Asset management and Production Accounting.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Asset additions
- Asset disposals
- Asset sales
- Assets tagging
- Asset revaluations
- Asset verification
- Tracking of assets and
control
- Management of work in
progress
- All related procedures
and processors
- Production accounting
and reporting
REPORTING:
- Preparation of capital budgets
- Preparation of capital and cash flow forecast
- Monthly reporting
- Variance analysis
- Costing and recovery analysis
- Presentation of quarterly reviews
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE:
- Preparation of all
invoices for payment
- Receipting of goods and
services
- Creditor
queries
BALANCE SHEET:
- Clearing Work in
progress accounts / Assets under construction
- Balance sheet
reconciliations
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Perform Adhoc
assignments as required
- Preparing lead schedules
for capitalizations
- Adjusting for assets
under construction

KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATION
- Bcom (Finance) or equivalent
qualification is essential
- 5 years’ experience in a
financial environment
- Asset management
experience advantageous
- Business understanding
- Strong Fixed Asset
accounting and finance administration skills are essential
- Strong computer literacy
(Microsoft Office applications)
- Financial Accounting
packages (SAP) would be advantageous
- Knowledge of technical /
broadcast equipment would be advantageous
