Caritas Switzerland works in Eastern Africa and the Horn of Africa with a focus on education, strengthening of civil society, food security and water, hygiene and sanitation. We operate an office in Nairobi, have Country Offices in Somaliland (Hargeisa) and South Sudan (Torit) and a Representative in Ethiopia (Addis Ababa).
In South Sudan, Caritas Switzerland implements comprehensive recovery projects in the WASH, education, food security and humanitarian aid sector. Caritas Switzerland is currently seeking a Back Office – HR Manager for its South Sudan Programme.
Position
Back Office – HR Manager
This is an unaccompanied position.
Workplace :Torit with frequent travels within Eastern Equatoria State
Starting date :As soon as possible
Duration :Programme Bound
Key tasks & responsibilities
Responsible for all administrative, financial, logistic tasks in South Sudan and in cooperation with the office in Nairobi.
Responsible for HR tasks.
Coordination and supervision of cash flow and flow of goods.
Bookkeeping and budget monitoring.
Organisation, coordination and supervision of audits.
Management and administration of the procurement of goods on the national and international market.
Provision of support in contract tendering processes.
Administration of car fleet, office and accommodation.
Lead a team of local employees.
Essential
requirements & qualifications
Advanced university degree or diploma in Financial and/ or HR-Management.
At least several years work experience, specifically field work experience in recovery context.
Proven track record in Financial and HR-Management.
Very good IT user skills.
Strong communication and proven social skills.
Negotiation and analytical skills.
Flexible, innovative and sensitive to cultural values.
Knowledge of the South Sudanese context is an added value.
Fluent in English, German is an asset.
