Position: Nurse/Midwife in charge of a Mobile Clinic Program;
Department: Field Activities;
Project: Improving mother and child health status, increasing MCH, nutrition and reproductive health services in Isinya and Kajiado North Districts;
Area: Kajiado North and Isinya Districts;
Main Duties:
(1) To coordinate the day-to-day implementation of a Mobile Clinic across rural areas of Kajiado North and Isinya Districts, with between 4 to 6 healthcare workers;
(2) To offer nursing, midwifery, nutrition, reproductive health services to the Mobile Clinic patients;
(3) To keep data on registers and periodically report.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse - Minimum 5 years' experience in health projects' field management with INGOs
  • Experience in Mother&Child Health projects/departments is a must
  • The candidate should preferably come from the same area of the intervention
  • Good skills in team management
  • Able to travel in rural areas and to spend several hours every day travelling by car
  • Good knowledge of English and Kiswahili; knowledge of Maasai language is a strong asset
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products - Good reporting skills, written and oral
  • Knowledge and use of Ultrasound Machine is an asset, as well as practice of IMCI
  • Background on nutrition and/or reproductive health and/or maternity services is an asset
