SCM Data Analyst


PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Contributing to the operational excellence and effectiveness of Global Supply Chain Management function by conducting ongoing and ad-hoc data analysis for monitoring, research and management purposes and managing the global master data file for item codes. This role is responsible for reviewing supply chain management cost and KPI data sets and proactively looking for trends in the data that could lead to process improvements, behavioural trends, operational efficiencies, improvements in customer experience, and improvements in intra-company experience. This role is also be responsible for generating a regular set of reports and more importantly, will be expected to assess these reports and provide management with hypotheses and recommendations related to the findings in the data. In addition to data analysis, the position will also provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements to existing reporting mechanisms. This position has dual role in supporting the SCM Information Coordinator and working with the Global Procurement Master Data & Administration Specialist. 

    The position will be responsible for:
  • Conducting data analysis of the Procurement Order Tracking Tool (POTT) and other supply chain metrics data from National Offices (NOs), identify any errors, and highlight issues that need troubleshooting, and work with NOs Data analyst to ensure data integrity
  • Carrying out analysis of NO procurement spend data extract from SUN accounting system and provide summary reports of the spend by category, projects and trend analysis to support SCM modernisation
    Support GPO Master Data Administration Specialist to manage WVI global item master file, assign new item codes and support NOs in ensuring integrity of standardised Item Master data in the GPO’s system. This position provides coverage for item master requests for Asia and Africa time zones.
  • Assist in the generation of monthly KPI reports in support of the various functions in the Quantitative and Qualitative analysis of data including procurement
  • Assist in the development of continuous reporting improvement solutions for GSCM


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Conduct data analysis of the Procurement Order Tracking Tool (POTT) and other supply chain metrics data from National Offices (NOs), identify any errors, and highlight issues that need troubleshooting, and work with NOs Data analyst to ensure data integrity. Duties include:
  • Following-up with NOs to submit monthly POTT and SCM Metrics report to GSCM
  • Review reports received from NOs for errors, inconsistencies
  • Provide feedback to NOs regarding the analysis review highlighting key observations, operational improvement opportunities, and supporting NOs with any errors issues with the tool
  • Support SCM Information Coordinator to put together a monthly consolidated dashboard report by region and for the global partnership
  • Provide ad-hoc procured item analysis to identify opportunities for leveraging the global framework agreements on key commodity items.

    Carry out analysis of NO supply chain costs data extract from SUN accounting system and provide summary reports on spend by category, projects and trend analysis to support SCM modernisation. Duties include:
  • Establish work plan to complete NO Spend analysis at the beginning of the fiscal year and monthly as need arise
  • Collaborate with Finance Reporting & Services Centre (FRSC) in Manila to extract SUN system data
  • Conduct spend data analysis, by categorizing spend, and analysis of trending on multi-year funding and expenses
  • Publish analysis report for office, region and global
  • Conduct ad-hoc and other SCM cost analysis in support of GSCM’s strategy including SCM costs and other partnership wide cost data

    Support GPO Master Data Administration Specialist to manage WVI global item master file, assign new item codes and support NOs in ensuring integrity of standardised Item Master data in the GPO’s system. This position provides coverage for item master requests for Asia and Africa time zones. Duties include:
  • Liaise with the Master Data Administration Specialist when new items and commodities need to be created to ensure they comply with the GSCM Item Coding Standards that are correctly classified to support effective and accurate data analysis
  • Provide support and answer queries from National Office (primarily from Asia and Africa time zones) and other partnership procurement staff relating to item/commodity coding questions
  • Liaise with Global Procurement Manager and Master Data Administrator to enter standard cost data for any new item entered into the purchasing system

    Assist in the generation of KPI reports in support of the various functions in the quantitative and qualitative analysis including preparing presentation materials. Duties include:
  • Track and report on NO compliance checklist
  • Prepare and produce KPI analysis results on power point presentations to be included in the Regional Supply Chain Director’s quarterly report to the regions and GSCM monthly and annual activity report
  • Assist SCM Information Coordinator in the design and development of SCM metrics and reporting tool 
Assist in the development of continuous reporting improvement solutions for GSCM and support SCM modernisation deployment as needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
      REQUIRED:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Statistics or Mathematics or related fields
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in positions relating to or as statistician, researcher or analyst or related areas in a multi-national or international non-government organizations
    • Must be proficient in basic and advanced level of statistical analysis and output interpretation
    • Professional Qualification in Purchasing and Supplies is an added advantage
    • Experienced in working with large quantity data, key performance indicator development, and knowledgeable in supply chain processes including procurement, distribution, warehouse management, logistics and inventory / asset management
    • Must have skills in structured problem solving and ability perform complex analyses and draw meaningful and actionable insights
    • Expert in MS application (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word)
    • Experienced working in Multi-cultural global environment preferably gained from multinational companies
    • Must be organized and great attention to details and data accuracy
    • Excellent command in English both oral and written

      PREFERRED:
    • Knowledgeable in MS Excel Macros and Visual basics
    • Knowledgeable in cost accounting and spend analysis interpretation and presentation
    • Cross-cultural experience working overseas (Language skills: French, Spanish)
    • Knowledge of International Program design, monitoring, evaluation, budgeting and operations
    • Knowledge of business planning, incubation, entrepreneurism, partnerships and start-ups
