Community Lead Mobilizer

Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB) is a Global NGO in Kenya working in collaboration with the IMPACT Research and Development (IRDO) and Ministry of Health to provide Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) activities in Nairobi County.
Founded in 1928 and rooted in the healing ministry of Jesus, CMMB works collaboratively to provide quality healthcare programs and services, without discrimination, to people in need around the world.
CMMB is seeking to recruit staffs that will support the implementation of the activities of Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) in Nairobi County

Community Lead Mobilizer

Duties and responsibilities include:
Mobilize and refer at least 5 clients per day for MC surgical procedures.
Coordinate mobilization activities within designated Districts.
Ensure work plans for associate mobilizers are done and implemented.
Ensure that associate mobilizers are meeting their targets.
Ensure supply and dissemination of VMMC educational materials.
Ensure client referral linkages are working.
Provide daily reports and summaries of clients mobilized, referred and circumcised.
Identify work places for services providers within the designated area.
Identify other mobilization strategies that are innovative.
Liaise with CHEWS in implementation of community strategy.
Participate in review meetings with CHEWS.
Any other duty that may be allocated by the immediate supervisor or Management.

Key Qualifications:
Must have a post secondary training/qualification.
Experience with MC program added advantage.
Must be fluent in English, Kiswahili and other local languages.
Must exhibit flexibility in time management and be able to work for longer hours to beat tight deadlines
Must possess a Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A good understanding of community dynamics. Knowledge and familiarity with low-income urban areas of Nairobi will be an added advantage.
Must be a resident of Nairobi county and understands the geography well
