Head Teller

The Position
Reporting to the Manager Operation, the job holder is responsible for Management of Cash,
Branch Operations and Administration.
Key Responsibilities
Co-custodian of cash and ATMs and Test Keys.
Checking of cash vouchers, transfer vouchers and transaction journal.
Authorisation of cash and transfer transactions within their limits.
Administration of leave and sick off.
Administration of safe custody items.
Maintenance of Branch assets and update of assets inventory.
Ensure reconciliation of suspense accounts and timely submission of monthly returns.
Settlement of branch bills.
Management of the teller line and back office staff reporting to him.
Servicing and reconciliation of the ATM.
Confirming and balancing of physical cash in and out of the vault.
Print and check cashiers transaction report and transfer vouchers
Authorise all transactions within their limits.
Reconciliation of suspense accounts.
The Person
For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:
University Degree preferably in a business related field.
Minimum of 1-2 years banking experience in Branch operations at least 1year as a cashier.
Proven track record in Cash Supervision
Strong leadership competencies.
Excellent planning, organizing, problem solving and analytical skills.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish new client relationships and generate
new business.
A good understanding of strong risk management practices paying particular attention to
Operational, reputational, compliance and ethical risks.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
