Training Manager
Action Against Hunger-USA is part of the Action Against
Hunger (ACF) international network which provides humanitarian relief in 44
countries worldwide in the sectors of nutrition, health, water/sanitation, and
food security. The ACF Regional Training Center in Nairobi
provides technical and management trainings for staff in the region and is
recruiting a Training Manager to support in the development and delivery of
training courses, to manage the induction process for new staff to ACF and to
ensure the monitoring, evaluation and capitalization of training activities.
For this exciting position, ACF is looking
for a highly motivated, creative and team orientated individual who has a
minimum of three years of experience in:

The design and delivery of inductions of
newly employed staff
·
Development of professional training
materials
·
Monitoring, evaluation and capitalization
of training programs
Requirements
·
Knowledge of adult learning theories and proven ability to translate
these into curriculum design and training delivery
·
Demonstrated experience in developing high quality training materials
including participant workbooks, trainer guides, power points, handout etc.
·
Experience in evaluating training, learning and development initiatives
·
Demonstrated skills in producing high quality professional written
materials for internal and external audiences including reports and training
evaluations
·
Proven experience in delivering trainings and facilitation processes
with diverse groups.
·
Previous experience in the management of induction processes and trainings
·
Fluent written and spoken English.
·
Strong independent research and analytical skills
·
Strong computer skills (MS Office Applications)
·
Excellent organizational and time management skills
·
Genuine interest in and commitment to humanitarian principles
Desirable
·
Experience in producing graphic materials and experience with Adobe
Creative Suite Applications
·
International training experience in the Easter and Southern Africa
Region and/or globally
·
Knowledge of French Language
Education and Expertise
·
Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources Management, Adult
Education and/or related field.
·
At least 3 years progressive experience in the coordination, design,
delivery and evaluation of trainings.
