Finance Officer
Fashoda Youth Forum (FYF) is a South Sudanese Non-governmental and Non-profit making Organization registered in South Sudan under the section 11.2 of the New Sudan NGO Act by South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (SSRRC). FYF has vacant position for Finance officer for its projects in Upper Nile State
Qualifications and experiences:
• Must have a relevant educational degree including finance/ Accounting/economic etc. and experience in the field of finance and accounting
• Must have a strong knowledge of accounting issues
• Must have good command (both verbal and written) of English and local language.
• Must have good organizational skills
• Computer literate (MS Word and Excel) E-mail and internet required
• Willingness to live and work in Maban
• Ability to work in a multi cultural environment
• At least 2 years similar experience
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Executive Director:
1. Review voucher and every single disbursement, ensure that each major procurement the purchase request form has been filed and has been approved by the Program Coordinator/Executive Director
2. Be responsible for day to day finance activities
3. Maintain an updated cash register/cashbook
4. Disburse correctly (payments) funds for the projects and support activities
5. Ensure all necessary support document accompany all cash expenditures
6. Undertake a daily/weekly cash count
7. Elaborate monthly cash reconciliation and send them on time to Program Coordinator for review
8. Ensure all financial processes are respected and implemented
9. Prepare monthly cash forecast/request
10. Prepare monthly expenses report and send to the program coordinator on timely before 2nd of each month.
11. checking staff timesheets and recording of salaries in books
