Scholarships in Germany

About the Scholarship

Did you know that education is free in Germany? Oh yeah, it is absolutely free to study in Germany, whether you are a German or not. You will not be asked to pay a dime. If you are still in doubt, then you need to read this. Still not convinced? Then you can read this as well to remove any shadow of doubt.
Hundreds of Africans have benefited from DAAD Scholarships for Developing Countries since the programme was initiated to help in improving the global standards of education. These scholarships are awarded each year to post-graduate students who would wish to study their master’s or PhD degrees. However, DAAD does not sponsor undergraduate studies in Africa; so, if you are an undergraduate student looking for a scholarship, look up our scholarships homepage for other opportunities.
The DAAD scholarships can support students who want to either study in their country or abroad. You have to consider a university that is affiliated to this program before you begin your application.

Requirements for the award of these Scholarships

  • A Bachelor’s degree with either a first class honours, or second class honours upper division
  • Age is limited to a maximum of 36 years.

How to Get DAAD Scholarships for Master’s Studies in Germany

If you are an ambitious young professional who holds a bachelor’s degree that is not older than 6 years since you graduated, aged below 36 years, and has at least two years of professional experience, you may just land an opportunity of a lifetime to obtain a fully sponsored scholarship to further your studies in some of the world’s best universities in Germany.
If you have a background in Economics, Engineering, Regional Planning, Agriculture, Health, Law and more, you stand a chance to get a scholarship to study in Germany.
