Tour Consultant

Globetrotter Agency Limited Tours and Travel Company is looking to fill the position of a Tour Consultant.
Qualifications & Skills
1. Diploma in travel and tourism.
2. 2 years’ experience knowledge in tours and travel i.e. tour costing, reservation, booking, itinerary preparation.
3. Possess knowledge of different inbound and outbound destinations.
4. Should have a thorough knowledge of East Africa Tourism products and designing of international itineraries and coting.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Research various destinations and means of travel regarding prices, customs, weather conditions, reviews etc.
2. Diagnose the clients’ specifications and wishes and suggest suitable travel packages or services.
3. Organize travels from beginning to end, through booking tickets and accommodation, securing rental transportation etc.
4. Supply travelers with pertinent information and useful travel/holiday material.
5. Collect deposits and balances.
6. Handle unforeseen problems and complaints and determine eligibility for money returns.
7. Attend conferences to maintain familiarity with tourism trends.
8. Create and update electronic records of clients.
9. Maintain relationships with key persons.
10.Adapt new challenges in the department
