Job: Senior Accountant
Location: Nairobi

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the financial management function of the Company through planning, managing and optimizing financial resources. He/She will be tasked with ensuring smooth financial operations of the organization through implementing proper internal controls, cash flows management, financial commitments and obligations whilst reporting to the Directors and other stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Oversee the management of inventory and keep accurate records of inventory status.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly
and annual management accounts.
• Oversee daily sales and bank reconciliations.
• Develop reliable cash flow projections and reporting mechanism.
• Track all company expenditure and implement internal controls for cost control
• Enforce compliance to regulatory bodies. Timely submission of tax returns and statutory
returns i.e. KRA, NHIF, NSSF etc.
• Prepare company budget, submit capital requests and track expenditure; actual vs. budget.
• Responsible for the audit process and communication with auditors.
• Preparation of market sector analyses and product reviews.
• Follow-up of legal formalities such as required annual filings with registrar of companies.
• Manage travel logistics for team members- domestic & international travel bookings.
• Establish cost-effective relationships with various vendors of the company.

Qualifications
➢ Bachelor’s degree in a business field
➢ CPA Part 4 or its equivalent
➢ Experience in inventory management, in a similar position for atleast two (2) years in retail
environment.
➢ Proficient in Accountancy software.
➢ Excellent communication skills, written and oral, in English & Swahili.
➢ Good analytical, problem solving and relational skills
