Sales Manager

Our client, who provides business consultancy services in but not limited to: business development, route to market, distribution solutions, strategies, marketing and branding, research and analysis and market segmentation & analysis is seeking to recruit a Sales Manager. The Ideal candidate will be responsible for business development and client management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintaining and growing the company’s business position amongst current clients and potential clients across markets by developing winning proposals.
  • Detail-oriented and timely use of CRM systems; the SM will be expected to generate progress reports and immediately be able to update the BD team and company progress on his/her assigned markets..
  • Working with the BD team to manage and inspire exceptional results. This includes quality control and being accountable for all BD outputs created and submitted for the SM’s focus markets and sectors
  • Lead prospective client engagements and other related meetings, focusing on meeting the ‘right’ managers to push forward any proposed business opportunity and proposals.
  • The SM is expected to deliver any relevant sales / business-case presentations for various prospective clients alongside the DBD (Director of Business Development).
  • The SM should regularly share resources, documents, and intel with the business development and advisory teams.
  • The SM along with the DBD should always be thinking of ways to innovate and package new products and services to be offered by the company, using technical know-how and to collectively decide on strategic projects to be launched.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Minimum of 4 years experience working in sales and business development environments specifically for wall branding, billboards and marketing novelty items.
  • Clean driving license
  • Previous work or substantial knowledge in the field of business sourcing, prospecting, sales and client relations will be a strongly considered asset.
  • Business degree from an accredited university.
  • Thorough knowledge of sales and client management, project management, team and quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of local and regional markets and related information including top companies, public sector players and civil society organizations.
  • Ability to write concept papers, technical proposals, marketing materials, presentations, and relevant materials
  • Proficient with computers, Internet, CRMs, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Microsoft Outlook
  • Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation
  • Ability to proactively seek out new business opportunities with clients as well as other potential companies and agencies to expand the company’s business. Lead the writing of proposals with the business development team for recommended advisory support. A positive and determined approach to researching and analyzing new business opportunities.
Salary and Allowances:
  • Monthly salary retainer of Kenya shillings 30,000.
  • Commissions on monthly gross sales revenue on a sliding scale: 3% for between Kes 3m-5.9m; 4% for between Kes 6m-9.9m and 5% for 10m and above.
  • Company sales tools to be provided i.e. phone, laptop, transport
