Assistant Credit Controller

We are a blue chip Company, a leader in the broadcast media sector. Due to expansion and growth, the following position has arisen in our organization:
Assistant Credit Controller
Position objectives:
Reporting to the Credit Controller the candidate, will be responsible for accounts reconciliations and smooth billing in the system. The candidate will be a dynamic, team player and result oriented professional possessing integrity, good interpersonal and communication skills. The person should have the ability to cope with pressure and be flexible.
Responsibilities:
·         Daily SMA/Agents receipting and reconciliation.
·         Collectives invoicing and disconnection if not paid by 1st.
·         Monthly credit card file processing.
·         Constant review of billing and ageing in the system to ensure there are no errors.
·         Responding to customer queries forwarded by Agents daily.
·         Processing of direct debits.
·         Disconnect accounts that are not appropriately updated.
·         Ensure the full balance on the unallocated accounts can be accounted for with appropriate documentation.
·         Avail a status report of bad debt recoveries.
·         Adherence to all set internal controls.
·         Allocation of payments from the various modes of payments.
·         Agent commission and national collections validation.
·         Avail reports due from Credit Controller in his/her absence.
·         Any other tasks that might be assigned by your Manager.

Qualification and experience
·         University degree in business related field.
·         Qualified  Accountant  (CPA (K), ACCA , or equivalent) are a mandatory requirement
·         High degree of proficiency in computer applications for accounting and finance knowledge.
·         Computer skills.
