Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

FH/Kenya (Food for the Hungry), a Christian Relief and Development NGO – with offices in Marsabit, Sololo, Meru , Isiolo and Nairobi seeks to recruit for the following urgent  positions for the Marsabit office. –

Position Titles:         M & E Officer
Duty Stations:          Marsabit
Reporting to:             Health and Nutrition Coordinator
Contract Period:       January  to  30th June 2014

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
1.      Develop the M&E framework, M&E plans and Annual work plans  for the health and nutrition program
2.      Develop key reporting formats of presenting key activities and indicators from the District Health Information System to District Nutrition Technical Forum
3.      Monitor the progress and the execution of the M&E work plan and budgets, report progress and possible deviations
4.      Train project staff in the implementing of the M&E framework Spearhead project operational research, surveys and any other formative research
5.      Ensure verification and utilization of data for decision-making and management.
6.      Consolidate the district reports to reflect county standing.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE (MINIMUM)
·                     Must be a committed Christian and willing to support FH/Kenya Vision and Mission statement.
·                     Bachelors degree in statistics, Public health and Monitoring and Evaluation  or relevant field plus 2 years experience in a similar position.  Diploma holders with more than 4 years relevant experience will also be considered.
·                     Have knowledge of SMART nutrition survey methodology
·                     Experience in M & E Design
·                      Experience in conducting operational research
·                      Good knowledge of the DHIS
