Registration to FAO Kenya Roster of Service Providers


We are inviting eligible national and international organizations operating in Kenya to register their interest in working with us. The  FAO roster developed will be used as a basis for pre-qualification for the implementation of our Country Programme Framework 2013-2017. FAO Kenya seeks organizations with the following expertise:
  1. Crop production and Post-Harvest Handling including training/ capacity building on Agricultural techniques
  2. Livestock production activities including; pasture and fodder establishment and storage, vaccination, training/capacity building, Livestock marketing and other related activities
  3. Agricultural and Livestock input distribution
  4. Agribusiness capacity development, and agro-processing technologies including private sector development in agribusiness
  5. Food security and Nutrition
  6. Fisheries and aquaculture
  7. Environment, Water and Natural Resource Management
  8. Land management (policy administration and land information management system)
  9. Disaster risk reduction/community managed disaster risk management activities
  10. Climate change (mitigation and adaptation)
  11. Value chain selection, analysis, development and institutional capacity development (in the key sectors including, crops, livestock, forestry and fisheries)
  12. Livelihood Resilience to shocks (such as socio-economic crises, conflicts, natural disasters, crop and livestock diseases, trans boundary or technological threats to food chains, protracted crises, among others)
  13. Implementation  of  community based interventions on rehabilitation of agricultural infrastructure, such as Irrigation Canals, Water Catchments, and Bush Clearing along feeder Roads, through Cash For Work approach
  14. Implementation of Voucher Schemes in agricultural development activities
  15. Gender and HIV activities
  16. IT based innovations for rural areas in agricultural production
  17. Other related activities for implementing agricultural projects such as Farmer/Pastoral/Junior Field Schools, Village Community Banking (VICOBA), amongst others

The deadline submission for 2014 engagements is Monday, 6th January 2014 at 4.00 pm.
