Child Care Worker/Nanny

Our client is an upcoming private accredited Kindergarten Center catering to young children one (1) to seven (7) years of age.

Our Client is looking for a young, energetic and passionate individual to fill the position of Child Care Worker/Nanny
Job Purpose
The Job holder will attend to children. Perform variety of tasks such as dressing, feeding, bathing, and overseeing play.

Key responsibilities
  • Cares for children in institutional setting
  • Organizes and participates in recreational activities, such as games.
  • Disciplines children and recommends or initiates other measures to control behavior, such as caring for own clothing and picking up toys and books.
  • Places or hoists children into baths or pools.
  • Instructs children regarding desirable health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits.
  • Assists in preparing food for children and serves meals and refreshments to children and regulates rest periods.
  • Reads to children, and teaches them simple painting, drawing, handwork, and songs.
  • Observes and monitors play activities
  • Sterilizes bottles and other equipment used for feeding infants.
  •  Dresses or assists children to dress and bathe.
  • Accompanies children on walks or other outings.
  • Keeps children’s quarters clean and tidy.
  • Helps children remove outer garments.
  • May escort child to designated activities.
  • May perform housekeeping duties in children’s living area.
Minimum Requirements
  • O- level certificate/KCSE
  • A Certificate in Early Childhood Education will be an added advantage
  • Experience in handling children below 5 years
Knowledge and attributes
  • Passionate, energetic, motivated, driven and fun
  • Brilliant with warm personality
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to create partnerships with families
Salary:  Kshs. (10,000 – 12,000)
