Sales Manager

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the purpose of the role is to formulate and implement sales strategies and growing the Branch book through the sales team.

Key Responsibilities
  • To design and implement sales strategies within the budget
  • To grow the Branch book through the sales staff
  • To manage the  Direct Sales Representative (DSRs) to achieve the set targets
  • To increase the number of borrowing customers
  • To organize and participate in sales activities/activations and all marketing initiatives aimed at growing the Branch book
  • Forecasting sales targets & ensuring they are met monthly & quarterly consistently
  • Generate loan applications and carry out preliminary credit appraisal to close sales

The Person
For the above position the, the successful applicants should have:-
  • University degree from a recognized institution.
  • Possession of MBA, Diploma in Sales/Marketing or ACIB/AKIB will be an added advantage.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in the banking/financial sector and must have experience covering the following areas;
    • 3 years’ experience Sales, Customer relationship management.
    • 2 years’ experience as a Sales Team Leader.
  • Demonstrated successful track record on delivery of results
  • Experience in banking operations is an added advantage.
  • A thorough knowledge of Retail Banking products and services, and extensive Financial/Banking Industry knowledge.
  • Excellent high quality interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to network and develop strong business relations.
  • Should be innovative in identifying and harnessing new and existing opportunities to maximize business
  • Should have strong leadership skills with demonstrated competences in championing high performance management
  • Should have excellent planning, organization, problem solving and analytical skills.
