Admin & Travel Specialist
Background:
Atlantean seeks to identify a qualified Administrative Program Logistics Support candidate to support USAID/Kenya’s Office of Population and Health (OPH) and USAID/East Africa’s Regional Health and HIV/AIDS Office (RHH). Competitive Admin & Travel Specialist candidates must have significant experience and success in such areas as program support, administration, and logistics. This position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya with possible travel throughout East and Central Africa. The Admin & Travel Specialist candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties and deliverables:
Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Coordinate travel plans for both full‐time and consultant staff including bus, air, and car travel as well as accommodations and meals, as required.
Carry out day‐to‐day business administrative needs of the field office including answering the main phone line, serving as the point of contact for subscriptions such as phone and internet, maintaining office supply levels, logistical coordination for facility upkeep, and other various support administrative support tasks as needed to meet the needs of the field office staff.
Provide assistance and support to all program staff by ensuring travel requirements are met and
administrative tasks are carried out in a timely manner.
Coordinate closely with the HR, Staffing & Outreach Specialist and Contracts & Finance Specialist to coordinate travel plans with consultants and ensure prompt payment of all travel plans.
Any other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in a relevant field (such as such as Program Management, Public Administration, Business Management or related field) and at least 5 years of related experience.
Demonstrated experience and understanding of program management administration, logistics, and support issues.
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Power Point, Word and MS Excel.
