Kwale International Sugar Company Limited (KISCOL) hereby invites applications from qualified and experienced individuals for the following positions:

Cost Accountant

Accountable to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Position Summary: To assist and support the CFO in the ensuring that all resources are properly and efficiently utilized; costs properly accounted for and that cost and budget controls are implemented and monitored

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance.
Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
More than three years prior supervisory experience in the areas of management accounting.
Competent in using at least one or two soft ware accounting packages Experience with QuickBooks is an advantage
Proficiency in Ms Excel is essential
Good command of communication in English language both oral and written as well as interpersonal relationship skills
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines


Duties and Responsibilities

Supervision, guidance and delegation of duties to the Accounts staff under your office.
Ensure there is proper keeping of Financial records
Ensure that vehicle log books are properly maintained and allocate vehicle costs.
Calculate, monitor and report on vehicle fuel consumption rate.
Ensure Man power costs are properly allocated.
Ensure all fields costs are properly allocated.
Assist in budget preparation.
Prepare monthly costs reports per Department with explanations (obtained from HODs) for variances from budget.
