Chief Executive Officer

The job holder will report to the Board of Directors.

Responsible for providing leadership and implementation of the Sacco’s Strategic plan, overseeing the daily management of operations to ensure excellent services to members. Shall also ensure business growth in a profitable, competent and sustainable manner while ensuring compliance with applicable, policies, procedures, rules, laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Timely presentation of financial, management and regulatory reports to the board, the members and authorized third parties including auditors, regulatory authority and the ministry for cooperatives development and marketing.
  • Ensure consistent compliance with the society’s policies, procedures and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Timely implementation of the board recommendations.
  • Ensure proper cash ratios to facilitate efficient operations of the society.
  • Ensure growth in assets, revenues and net incomes of the society
  • Manage costs and expenses within the approved budgets.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a business related field.
  • At least 3 years relevant experience at a managerial level preferably in a Financial institution
  • Possession of Diploma in co-operative management will be an added advantage.
