We are a blue chip Company, a leader in the broadcast media sector. Due to expansion and growth, the following position has arisen in our organization:

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT
POSITION OBJECTIVES
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, team player and result oriented professional possessing integrity, good interpersonal and communication skills. The person should have the ability to cope with pressure and be flexible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
·         Responsible for inter-company accounts
·         Prepare and process accounting journals in terms of IFRS
·         Assist with monthly management accounts.
·         Assist with statutory reporting: that is monthly completion of reporting packs, year-end reporting packs and completion of annual financial statements.
·         Responsible for supplier payments
·         Completion of various company’ tax returns
·         Cash flow management.
·         Resolution of financial queries.
·         Maintenance of the fixed assets register.
·         Assistance with corporate governance.
·         Assistance with managing systems of internal, operational and financial control.
·         Assistance with projects as required.

COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

The incumbent should process:-
·         Three to four years’ experience as a financial accountant.
·         A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
·         CPA-K or ACCA
·         Strong financial and accounting knowledge (IFRS)
·         Statutory understanding (Companies Act and Tax)
·         Financial analysis experience
·         Computer knowledge: GL packages, Excel – spreadsheets, Microsoft Word
·         Experience using Great Plains (Dynamics) will be an added advantage.
·         Experience in use of online banking systems
