Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Ø Responsible for developing business and driving growth in the Telecoms sector in the East African region.
Ø Focus on driving all Network Power Systems products and services toward customers in Telecom segment in the East African region by either direct sales or via selected channels
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Ø Responsibility for the development and maintenance of Telecom sales in the region.
Ø Responsible for the long-term building and maintenance of relationships with major account customers (on all levels) or potential customers
Ø Responsible for marketing and complex sales of products, solutions and services
Ø Responsibility for the sales of ENP product portfolio, and executing the agreed sales strategies, with the aim of achieving defined yearly sales targets while operating within established Emerson policy guidelines, including Emerson’s Ethics policy.
Ø Actively participate in the development and follow-up of marketing/activity plans toward the Telecom market in the region.
Ø Implement agreed channel strategy i.e. setting up distributors, partners, reps etc.
Ø Prepare and follow-up account plans.
Ø Monitor the market(s) and identify new business opportunities.
Ø Create and lead business development plans over the short to medium term.
Ø Support strategic marketing/sales activities
Ø Manage negotiations and support local bids and negotiations
Ø Actively drives and proposes activities (both internal and external) to maintain customer satisfaction in the region.
Ø Co-operate with other functions, operations and COE’s (centre of expertise) to the benefit of the accounts.
Ø Performs tasks and oversees special projects and assignments as may be assigned.
