Overall description:
Job Purpose
Our client is looking for an experienced accountant/auditor for their outsourced accounting and audit jobs.
The successful candidate will be someone who has reasonable experience in preparing financial statements from source documents like bank statements, invoices, payment  vouchers, receipts, etc. The job involves preparing various sections of an audit file and  supporting schedules like bank, debtors, creditors and reserves reconciliations, VAT, PAYE, accruals and prepayments, etc.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Tour Manager will be responsible for:
The desired requirements are but not limited to the following:-
1. Be a fast learner.
2. Knowledge and experience in financial reporting, financial management and taxation.
3. Should be able to train other staff and take over full responsibilities in the absence of immediate supervisor.
4. Should be able to deal with taxation issues under the Kenyan law.
5. Experience in managing/supervising others an added advantage.
6. Should have extensive working knowledge of modern accounting/software packages as well as MS Office.
7. Should be able to handle any other accounting task that may present itself from time
to time.
General Requirements
1. Should have good interpersonal skills.
2. Should be able to communicate extremely well in English and Kiswahili (both spoken and written).
3. Should be able to work with minimal supervision.
4. Female candidates encouraged to apply, aged between 24 and 30.

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge and Abilities
Education and Experience
1. A first degree from a reputable university.
2. Be a Certified Public Accountant Part III.
3. Have at least 5 years hands on experience in a busy accounting environment, with at least 2 years experience in audit.
