Diakonia is a Swedish non – governmental organisation, created over 40 years ago by six Christian denominations in response to emergencies in different parts of the world. Diakonia’s vision is for every human being to live a dignified existence in a just and sustainable world, and the mission is to change unfair political, economic and social structures that generate poverty, oppression and violence.

Diakonia Sweden seeks to recruit for the following two positions:  

  1. Programme Manager: To provide leadership in the coordination, implementation, resource mobilization and administration of its Lake Victoria Rights Program (LVRP).
  2. Programme Officer: To provide programme support in respect to two regional programmes – Lake Victoria Rights Programme and African Economic Justice Programme at the Regional Office based in Nairobi, Kenya.
