Impact Research and Development Organization (IRDO) is a national NGO based in Kisumu. Its principal mandate is to design, implement and evaluate HIV/AIDS research and intervention programs that improve the health status of individuals and local communities. We are looking for qualified and experienced personnel to fill in the following positions in the Southern Nyanza Region (Rachuonyo North, Rachuonyo North, Suba, Homabay, Nyamira, Mbita, Ndhiwa and Kisii Central districts), Kenya. Successful candidates will be based in either of the districts.
HTC COUNSELLOR (1 POSITION) - KISII CENTRAL
Job Summary: Provide HTC services to clients at the Wellness Centre and during community outreaches

Duties and Responsibilities
Offer HIV/AIDS Testing and Counseling services to all clients and provide effective referrals when applicable.
Provide Provider initiated testing and counseling to clients’ and family members
Ensure quality HTC services are provided to clients as per the NASCOP standards.
Ensure proper linkages of clients accessing HTC services
Work with Peer Educators to ensure targets are met
Ensure clients information/data are kept safe and confidential
Submit duly filled data forms to the Wellness Centre Coordinator
Perform any other duty as assigned by immediate supervisor


Minimum requirements
Diploma in counseling and VCT, PITC, and Couple Counseling and MARPs training from NASCOP accredited institutions.
1 year experience in a similar position in a busy medical facility
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
