Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi invites applications for the position of Human Resources Assistant
Responsibilities
​The incumbent will:
  • Assist in screening applications and forward to the concerned units and arrange for interviews/assessments of the shortlisted candidates
  • Conduct interviews of candidates for staff in assigned areas and make recommendations for selection
  • Make salary offer and explain terms of employment to assigned roles
  • Complete joining formalities for newly hired faculty and staff in assigned areas
  • Ensure all recruited employees undergo pre-employment physical examination and conduct reference checks prior to any hire
  • Manage documentation verification prior to hiring of new employees
  • Plan, develop and implement a timely and efficient record management system, both electronic and paper based
  • Set up and implement an effective file and document control register, ensuring any movement of files/ documents is logged in
  • Set up, maintain and ensure effective records custody and retrieval system
  • Prepare and update a checklist for all files based on policy, ensuring all legal and accreditation requirements are met
  • Generate a monthly report indicating file & document movement
  • Update, maintain and monitor HR Data and ensure it is updated on a daily basis with all relevant information in line with set policies and procedures in place
Requirements
​Applicants should:
  • have a Degree in Social Sciences with a Diploma in Human Resources
  • have a minimum of two years' relevant experience in a busy HR department 
  • be proficienct in all MS Office packages
  • have excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills
  • be able to work under pressure and maintain strict confidentiality.
