Associate trainers are expected toDevelop in-depth knowledge about business development practices, marketing activities, prospective clients and industry trends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Development of Training programmes and facilitation materials for the training area preferred
· Facilitation of training
· Developing Technical proposal for consultancies
Academic Qualifications:
Skills Required
· Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail.
· Efficient, highly effective work-ethic: ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to learn quickly.
· Ability to proactively seek out new business opportunities with clients as well as other potential companies and agencies to expand IRES’s leadership and impact throughout the region. Lead the writing of proposals with the business development team for recommended advisory support.
· Ability to write concept papers, technical proposals, marketing materials, presentations, and relevant materials
· Ability to work well individually, within a team, and leading a team to deliver exceptional results
· Idealistic, Hands on and high problem solving abilities
· Showcase enthusiasm and a passion for Training and capacity building in the preferred area
Qualification and experience:
  • A Minimum of a master degree in the preferred area
  • Experience working in the NGO sector
  • Above 30 years of Age
  • At least four years’ experience in design, implementation and evaluation of trainings
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, and facilitating individual and group trainings
  • Experience in using a variety of training methods based on adult learning principles
  • Oral and Written fluency in English. Knowledge of French will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Adult Learning Cycle
  • Previous experience working with NGOs/institutions of learning desirable
  • Previous consultancy experience
  • Ability to compile professional and high quality training materials with minimum supervision
  • Be citizens of any of the following countries Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Rwanda, Ghana, Somalia, Sudan, Nigeria, and Senegal.
