Who we are?
Action Against Hunger (ACF-USA) is an international humanitarian NGO. We implement Food Security and Livelihoods, Nutrition, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene programs, in Cambodia, DRC, Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Nigeria and Pakistan. Action Against Hunger is part of the ACF International network which together comprises of over 40 country offices and 5 HQs globally.

In 2008, ACF-USA opened a Training & Logistics Centre (TLC) in Nairobi, Kenya to support country offices worldwide in terms of capacity building and logistics services.

You’ll contribute to our mandate and strategy by…
Using your insight and vast experience in Finance & HR to coordinate transparent financial management and applying best practices in HR to serve both the TLC staff as well as our country offices.

Key activities in your role will include…
· Accountancy Reporting, Financial Follow-up and Planning
· Strategic Human Resource Management
· Training and capacity building support to country offices

Does this description fit you?
You are a skilled and committed professional with a seasoned background in Finance and HR:
· You have a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, HR or a related field
· You have at least 5 years of experience working in a similar position
· You have at least 2 years of experience in humanitarian work
· You have knowledge of financial software, preferably SAGA
· You have advanced knowledge of MS office and able to apply excellent finance and analytical skills
· You have sound knowledge of recruitment, payroll & benefits management and training & development
You are a super communicator:
· You have extensive experience communicating with staff from diverse cultures and professional backgrounds. You are comfortable verbally discussing solutions in stressful situations.
· You are good at developing people skills
· You are diplomatic and able to help colleagues handle difficult situations
· You are comfortable explaining policies and procedures to a team
· You have contributed to team reports and are able to succinctly summarize and create timely financial reports
Your work style builds trust within your team
· You are highly organized and pay attention to detail.
· You are calm under pressure and able to easily adapt to changing circumstances
· You can think strategically and are able to define and communicate goals
· You are able to identify needs, develop plans and deliver trainings
