Job description

We are seeking talented people to join us in our recently announced IBM Research – Africa lab in Nairobi, Kenya (the first IBM Research lab dedicated to a whole continent). The lab will be located on the campus of the Catholic University in the Karen-Langata area in Nairobi. To help us achieve our goal of becoming a world-class research organization that will deliver innovations relevant to the African continent, we are seeking an administrative support person. This role revolves around good relationships and so your duties are likely to include:
  • Setting up meetings
  • Planning and preparing presentations (say hello to Powerpoint)
  • Communicating new developments to internal clients
  • Overseeing the day to day runnings of the lab
  • Writing reports
  • Providing management with feedback 

    Required
    • High School Diploma/GED
    • At least 3 years experience in marketing, sales, business development
    • At least 3 years experience in customers, government, and academia
    • English: Fluent


    Preferred
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Management
    • At least 5 years experience in marketing, sales, business development
    • At least 5 years experience in customers, government, and academia
