All round Logistician

Médecins Sans Frontières Holland is looking to fill the position of All round Logistician for Kenya Mission. The position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya. The successful candidate will be under the direct supervision of the Fin/HR/Log Coordinator.
Objective of the Position: 
• Coordinate and perform technical and supply-related support to all MSF OCA activities in Kenya through day to day execution of tasks, supervision and training as well as bearing witness to the fate of people facing humanitarian crisis. This contribution gives meaning to the MSF-H medical humanitarian policies, principles and values.
Tasks & Responsibilities: 
S/he will perform the following main tasks, among others:- • Perform supply management in line with budgets and activity planning; this includes purchasing/procurement, storage and stock administration • Manage stocks efficiently and ensure availability of relevant management data • Maintain contact with other NGO's, MSF sections and local and international suppliers with respect to supply • Timely and efficient execution of installation, maintenance and rehabilitation work • Perform security tasks delegated to logistics • Setup and maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of fixed assets
Qualifications & Requirements: 
Education: Valid and current, clean driving license; Technical skills in three or more of the following fields: vehicle maintenance, energy and electricity, ICT, Supply Management, Communications, Construction, Water and Sanitation; computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook 2007, Logistix7);
Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience with MSF.
• Skills/ Competences: able to cope with stress; able to act as part of a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team; able to organize and prioritize workload, using initiative when appropriate
Language: Proficiency in written and oral English & Swahili.
