This is an exciting opportunity to join a our team in the beautiful City of Arusha fondly referred to as the Geneva of Africa.
As the Executive Chef you’ll be in working in one of Tanzania’s finest Luxury business hotel renowned for great cuisine so there will be no stopping your imaginative mind!
What you’ll do in this role
As the Executive Chef, you’ll be responsible for everything that goes into the kitchen and everything that comes out. You’ll look after ordering, keep a wary eye on stock levels and tight control of budgets. So, if you can stand that kind of heat, you should get into our kitchen!
• As the Executive Chef you’ll make sure that every dish is sheer perfection as it makes its way from kitchen to table
• You’ll be responsible for training and motivating your talented team
• You’ll be responsible for food stock control and ordering
• You’ll be accountable for the kitchen’s financial performance
• You’ll be on the fast track to a rewarding managerial career with us
What will make you perfect for the job?
1. Be passionate in what you do?
2. A successful career in managing a high volume fresh food kitchen.
3. Have Experience in recruiting, developing and retaining a talented team of Chefs.
4. Be able to deal with pressure during busy sessions
5. Work in an organized manner, delivering brand standards and controls
6. Be able to enthuse the team about dishes and their provenance
7. Have a passion for fresh food and daily specials
8. Take an interest in the whole of the business and have ambitions for progressive growth
