The Nairobi Women’s Hospital is trusted with the healthcare of Women in Africa, and with passion, we deliver healthcare.

The key responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to:-
1.        Providing psychosocial care to the counselee and their families, in the specific areas assigned, through group or one-on-one therapy interventions, which meet the recognized criteria of counseling credentialing associations
2.        Providing VCT services to the counselees who need this service.
3.        Networking with stakeholders: implementing partners, counselees and Nairobi Women’s Hospital, to discuss clinical and administrative issues relevant to counseling the counselees undergoing psychosocial challenges/issues.
4.        Developing necessary stress management literature, brochures, visual and audio-visual materials to the counselees and their caregivers.
5.        Creating awareness on GBV through sensitization campaigns, media  and trainings
6.        Developing a counselors` manual on effective psychosocial care programs to be used in GVRC
7.        Preparing and share psychosocial care service periodic report of work done once every month.
8.        Submitting timely feedback to Management through weekly, monthly, annual reports or as and when necessary and/or as required.
9.        Facilitating and   participating in group debriefings periodically.
10.     Participating in personal therapy at least monthly.
11.     Providing a comprehensive, quality assurance plan that assists in assessing psychosocial potential problems, offering assistance to existing problems and ensuring that service is provided in a professional and ethical manner.
12.     Ensure Superior Customer Experience to both Internal and External Customers

Qualifications and Skills
1.        At least 3 years relevant work experience
2.        A Bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology, or its equivalent
3.        Masters degree will be an added advantage
