Chef de Partie/Sous Chef

Must have 3 years experience in a fast paced a la carte environment.

Assistant Commissary Manager

Overseeing a fast paced Food Production and Logistics Center, the individual will direct the personnel to accomplish assigned duties and supervises the delivery of commissary orders, inventory, recommends action and adheres to guidelines. Monitor the uploading of all materials and ensures that materials are staged for counting and inspection and stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.

Refrigeration Technician

The refrigeration Technician will be responsible for servicing, trouble-shooting and repairing all types of commercial refrigeration equipment. Ideal candidates will be able to service walk-in, reach-in, ice machines, coolers and AC systems.

Stewards & Bussers

We look for stewards and bussers who are diligent, hands-on, and trustworthy when it comes to all tasks. This is a vital role in the Nairobi Java House set up. Stewards and Bussers are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant, dishwashing, stocking dishes, glassware and food items for the cooks and servers, bussing tables and responding quickly to situations that arise. Many of our Managers started in this department and it is an honorable entry point for those developing careers in the hospitality industry.
No prior experience required, only secondary school education and a positive attitude.

Drivers

We are looking for experienced drivers to support the logistics department of Nairobi Java House. As a 24/7 operation, we are looking to have drivers who are willing to work both day and night shifts for deliveries and staff movement. S/he must also have not less than 3 years similar experience with a clean driving record, and not less than one full year driving experience for a Mombasa based company. Successful candidates will be required to present a valid certificate of good conduct at the interview.
