The Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI) is the capacity
building agency of the Ministry of Education.
The Institute is seeking to recruit suitably qualified Kenyan citizens
to fill in the following vacant positions:
Admissions Officer JG “K” (1
Post) KESI/HR/2/9/2013
Gross Salary Kshs.47,265.00
Duties and Responsibilities.
Reporting to Deputy Director/Training, the successful candidate will be
responsible for the following:
• Generate all
admission letters and communication as directed.
• Maintain inventory
of admission materials, class lists, waitlists, applications and publications.
• Notify the Director
of admissions of items requiring tracking of application documents, enrollment,
documents, etc.
• Process admissions
documents, providing safe custody of materials in accordance with set
regulations.
• Assist with
maintaining Admissions office records (enquiry forms, enrolment reports,
rejected/withdrawn applicant files, and other miscellaneous filing).
• Review Admissions
applications, write summaries and make recommendations regarding acceptance.
• Perform other
related duties as may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements
• Completion of a
recognized bachelor's degree program in education, administration or
equivalent.
• Excellent
communications, computer, writing, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
• At least three years
of relevant work experience.
• Outgoing, friendly
attitude.
• Enthusiastic about
democratization of higher education.
• Good public
relations.
• Innovative, team
player and highly motivated.
• Computer literate.
