The Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI) is the capacity building agency of the Ministry of Education.

The Institute is seeking to recruit suitably qualified Kenyan citizens to fill in the following vacant positions:

Hotel Manager Job Group ‘N’ Ref: KEMI/HR/2/4/2013
Gross Salary Kshs. 81,930

Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Deputy Director Finance and Administration the role of Hotel Manager will be to:
•             Plan, organize, direct, control, and coordinate all hotel operations
•             Develop and implement quality guests services standards and feedback system
•             Ensure adequate systems are in place to safeguard the safety and security of guests, employees and Institute’s property
•             Give advice on the formulation and implementation of financial and operational policies of the hotel
•             Contribute to the marketing of the hotel
•             Keep good public relation with the guests/visitors, local community and staff.
•             Draw up budget for the hotel

Minimum Requirements
•             Degree in Hotel Management or Diploma in Hotel Management from Utalii College.
•             A minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in a similar establishment.
•             Strong report writing skills.
•             A team player with high integrity.
•             Excellent communication, interpersonal and advisory skills.
•             Has basic knowledge of labour laws.
•             Offer mature leadership.
•             Computer proficiency.
