Marketing Knowledge and Communication (MKC) Researcher


Job Description

  • Compile the research collated on the different industries by the team members;
  • Maintain a database of material collated and feed the intranet proposal portal regularly;
  • Compile information for the KPMG internal magazine ;
  • Compile information from the rest of the team for the website and the intranet;
  • Design and deploy daily market news from the local newspapers;
  • Assist the regional representatives in developing market reports relevant to their country;
  • Media monitoring – KPMG related stories, client stories;
  • Dissemination of information gathered to relevant parties in a usable format;
  • Seek out publications, economic data and other market information that would be relevant to the wider firm for presentation in Global KPMG offices;
  • Research on specific clients to provide information for a proposal; and
  • Assist the regional business development manager in gathering market intelligence to drive propositions.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, economics or related discipline ;
  • Professional  marketing qualification or industry equivalent;
  • At least 2 years work experience in an advertising or PR firm.
  • Confidence to present and explain ideas
  • The ability to balance and deliver work on several projects at a time
  • Good team working skills
  • Flexibility
  • An awareness of the competitive business environment at KPMG
  • A nose for spotting trends, gaps and opportunities.

We are looking to hire an Associate Researcher to complement our existing capacity. You will have a working knowledge of marketing, knowledge management and Communication, web services, corporate social investment initiatives, proposal development, branding and events management. You will also be the consummate multi-tasker; able to perform multiple tasks concurrently whilst responding to various departmental needs as they arise.
