About USTADI Foundation
USTADI Foundation is a registered independent organization under the Kenyan law. It is part of a
global network of local capacity development facility initiatives, which aims works with the local
communities in promoting demand and supply of innovative and catalytic capacity development
services for improved livelihoods and wealth creation. We achieve this through two types of
services; Market facilitation services and grant and investment management services.

Job Description
Under the general supervision of the BDS Manager the intern’s responsibilities will include the
following;
1. Assist in planing, coordination & Implementation of different projects activities including
field-based activities (such as monitoring visits and market place events).
2. Assist in due diligence on grant applications/ proposals/ business plans, capacity
development and service procurement related duties.
3. Provide support in updating and maintenance of official websites and social media platforms
4. Participate in funding proposal development
5. Liaise with relevant partners, stakeholders & collaborators at activity level
6. Assist the Monitoring Evaluation Communication and Reporting Officer in data entry, analysis and reporting functions.
7. Assist in preparing various periodic reports as per project and donor requirements
8. Assist other program staff in general office administration and support services.

Other tasks:
Any other duties specified by the Head of Support Services as appropriate for the role.

Person Specification
 Bachelor’s Degree in a business or Social Sciences course (B. Com, Development Studies,
Entrepreneurship, project planing and management, Economics, Agribusiness, Agronomy)
 Detail-oriented with god multi-tasking abilities
 Ability to work well within a team and independently unsupervised and develop on the job;
 Having skills in Excel spread sheets, Word-processing, E-Views, SPSS or STATA programs
at intermediate proficiency would be highly desirable.
 Excellent organizational skills and ability to determine priorities and met multiple deadlines;  God report writing skills
