Business Development Manager,Education Sector
Introduction
The jobholder will be responsible for development and business production in the Education sector. In addition to sales of the convectional products, the role will be key for needs identification, information gathering, insemination, coordinating and spearheading development of products and packages that are superior, unique, attractive and profitable
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience
· A Business degree or equivalent
· Relevant professional training such as ACII, FLMI, CIM, COP
· Excellent leadership skills
· Good negotiation and presentation skills
· Good interpersonal skills and open minded
· Self starter and results oriented
· Experience of at least 4-6 years in sales and marketing
Key Responsibilities
Building market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating and closing business relationships within the Education Sector
Product Development - focusing on defining and packaging comprehensive insurance products for all stakeholders in the Education sector
Working closely with marketing and technical departments to identify needs and develops products that respond to all the insurance needs of this sector
Locating and proposing potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discovering and exploring opportunities within the Education sectors
Close business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating agreements while integrating business requirements with business operations
Engaging various distribution networks to enhance and achieve sales with the sector.
Manage Services to clients to achieve and maintain high customer service standards
Work with various institutions and related associations to ensure growth in the business portfolio
Achieve high customer service standards for the clients in the sector
· Formulation of operating plans in liaison with departmental managers to come up with synchronized inter-department sales approach to the sector
Liaise internally with other members of the team to ensure effective and efficient execution of client’s requests.
Key Measures and Accountabilities
· Achievement of set targets in the sector
· Achievement of customer satisfaction
· Efficient and effective implementation of agreed strategies and action plans
· Delivery of high level business proposals to prospective Clients
· Appropriate products packaged to suit clients needs
