Garage Supervisor - Kericho

Our client, a subsidiary of a leading multination is involved in large scale tea production with a commitment to sustainable agricultural practices and environmental care.

Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management of the garage in the factory; ensuring high standards of vehicle maintenance are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
• Train and develop all staff and ensure good industrial relations in the garage section
• Ensure that the company transport fleet within the group are maintained
• Carry out regular inspections of the company transport fleet, out-growers or third party vehicles
• Ensure the garage’s expenditure and operational controls are in place
• Prepare Vehicle Maintenance Schedule for the group vehicles
• Implement SHEQ policy and TPM in the garage/workshop
• Analyse maintenance related data and generate KPI trends for use to drive productivity
• To take charge of the requirements & maintenance of utility services in factory
• Responsible for co-coordinating the cost effective procurement of all spare parts from suppliers, controlling inventories of spare parts and other workshop supplies.

Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum five (5) years experience
• Knowledge of motor vehicle parts
• Good administration and demonstrated people management skills
