HelpAge is a global network of
not-for-profit organisations with a vision of a world where older people
fulfill their potential to lead active, dignified, healthy and secure lives.
With more than 70 affiliates and 300 partners across more than 50 countries,
the HelpAge network brings together hundreds of organisations worldwide. In
Africa, HelpAge has its regional offices in Kenya and South Africa. The
regional office in Kenya is based in Nairobi which offers support to the
Eastern, Western and Central African countries while the South African office
is based in Pretoria which extends its support to the Southern Africa
countries.
HelpAge’s global action to 2010-2015
include; enabling older men and women to have secure incomes; enabling older
men and women and those they support to receive quality health, HIV and care
services; enabling older men and women to actively participate in and be better
supported during emergency and recovery situations; and building global and
local movements that enable older men and women to challenge age discrimination
and claim their rights and to support a growing global network of organizations
to work effectively with and for older men and women. In an effort to improve
its work across its global actions, HelpAge is seeking for services from a pool
of consultants – organizations or individuals – with experience in conducting
studies across HelpAge’s global actions across Africa.
The organization/individual should submit

A
brief background of the organization/individual
·
Organization
or individual experience in conducting numerous studies including research,
producing documentation, organizing and facilitating technical or capacity
building workshops across HelpAge’s global actions. Organisations or individuals
with experience in conducting Value for Money assessments and rigorous Impact
Evaluations are encouraged to apply

Names
and contact details of clients your organization or individually have worked
for in the past
·
Daily
rates in Pounds (£)
·
Associate
consultant’s CVs citing their experience in conducting studies across HelpAge’s
global actions
·
Applicant
should also submit two (2) sample reports of assignments conducted in the past
·
Experience
in ageing issues will be an added advantage.
