Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi invites applications for the position of Regional Purchase Assistant

Responsibilities
​The incumbent wil: 
  • monitor price variances within the E A Region
  • obtain competitive quotations from various suppliers and recommend or award the order to the most competitive supplier
  • carry out negotiation with suppliers
  • communicate with end user to clearly understand the requirements of the items required and also keep them informed on the status of their enquiries
  • ensure that users’ requirements are confirmed by way of a sign on evaluation forms or by email for regional purchase.
  • follow up with suppliers to ensure timely responses on regional requirements and delivery items
  • provide all the necessary information for approval of a purchase order
  • inform user on new products
  • arrange periodic meetings with regional institutions
  • assist the Capex team with their daily purchasing process
Requirements
​Applicants should: 
  • have a Diploma and/or a Degree in Supply Chain Management 
  • have at least 2 years experience in purchasing preferably in hospital environment
  • be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • have excellent negotiation, orgnisational and communication skills.
