Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi invites applications for the position of Messenger

Responsibilities
​The incumbent will:
  • assist in storing supplies items in the respective satellites
  • ensure the cold chain is maintained when delivering or collecting fridge items
  • ensure that all the waste from the clinic is effectively packaged and incinerated as required
  • clean all the rooms in the centre including cleaning windows, toilets, sinks and rooms
  • replace packing material, hand towels, hand cream and toilet papers in the respective areas
  • liaise with the satellite staff to ensure efficient transfer of specimens to the main laboratory
  • deliver reports or collect specimens from doctors / clinics as may be required
  • ensure efficient utilization of cleaning materials
  • report malfunctioning facilities on areas of work to the supervisor
  • maintain all records related to mail receipt and delivery functions
Requirements
​Applicants should:

  • have Kenya Certification of Secondary Education minimum grade of C
  • have at least 6 months' experience in a similar role
  • a certificate of good conduct will be required
  • have excellent attendance and positive attitude
  • have good customer care services skills
  • have the ability to communicate in both English and Kiswahili
