Human Resources & Administration Officer
Royal Nairobi Golf Club is a private members club established over 100 years ago. The club is in the process of looking for a Human Resources and Administration Officer reporting to the General Manager.
The Human Resource and Security Manager will be responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions, which include recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring, disciplinary matters, HR records and employee counseling. The role holder will also work with the General Manager on all matters of Administration especially concerning security matters within the Club with an aim of preventing or detecting crime.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-
Human Resources1. Provide HR support and advice to employees and line managers, explaining policies and
procedures in a timely and effective manner
2. Coordinate staff recruitment and selection process in order to ensure a timely organized
and comprehensive procedure is used to hire staff.
3. Manage the on-boarding process for all new employees.
4. Handle maternity, paternity, sick and annual leave processes and queries
5. Handle health and safety processes and queries
6. Assist in the development of HR policies and procedure
7. Administer the performance management system and job descriptions
8. Provide data for and prepare management information reports
9. Liaise with accounts in terms of any changes in the payroll
10. Manage the attendance recording system
11. Maintain and develop the personnel filing system
12. Manage all the employee exit processes.
13. Support in investigations for disciplinary and grievance procedures
14. Undertake other duties as directed by line managers commensurate with the post
15. Generation of all HR documents.
Administration (Security)
• Advising the management on the security requirements for the club and developing sound security policies and procedures.
• Directing and controlling security operations within and around the company premises.
• Working closely with the out-sourced security service provider to ensure effective security for the club and effective management of necessary service level agreements.
• Managing any internal investigations and acting as liaison officer with all other interested parties, including the police, regulators and auditors.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
• Bachelors Degree in Business or Social Sciences
• Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management
• Member of IHRM
• 3 years experience in a similar position.
• Experience in handling Security matters.
• Knowledge of the Employment Acts and government regulations pertaining to law
enforcement.
• Proficient in the use of computers.
• Excellent Communication skills ( Oral and Written)
• Excellent Interpersonal skills
• Must be of unquestionable Integrity.
• Excellent Time Management and organization skills
• Team player.
• Must have a valid certificate of good conduct
