Bodyshop Manager

Our client, a leading automotive company offering unlimited quality service on auto repairs, sales of major auto parts and vehicle sales seeks to recruit a Bodyshop Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for examining damaged vehicles, supervising the repairing and replacement of the defective parts.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Supervising the repairing of  defective mechanical parts
  • Examining damaged vehicles and estimating repairing costs
  • Directing the removal of electrical and hydraulic window, seats and trimming to gain access to vehicle body
  • Hiring technicians
  • Filling depressions with body filler
  • Removing damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch
  • Straightening  bent automobile frame
  • Directing the filing and  grinding repaired surfaces
  • Refinishing repaired surface
  • Supervising the alignment of  wheels and bleeding hydraulic brake system
  • Supervising painting of surfaces after performing body repairs
Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Must have previous experience as a body shop estimator
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in similar industry
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles 
  • Valid driver's license
