Audio Assistant


Local Productions Kenya Limited seeks to appoint two experienced candidates in the role of Audio Assistant. This position reports to the Producer/ Director and will be based at our offices in Nairobi with frequent visits to the field, working over the weekends, pubic holidays and for long hours. This is a contract position.

Output
  • Rig and derig audio cables for the OB productions.
  • Be familiar with the basic operation procedures of the audio- mixing console.
  • Setting up microphones, be it field or studio, handheld, lapel microphones.
  • Test levels to ensure there are no distortion or hiss. Fixing faulty equipment, identifying faulty cables etc.
  • Responsible for checking all stock, microphones and batteries and making sure that the sound department runs as smooth as possible. Maintaining audio equipment.
  • Identify necessary gear and equipment for particular productions.
  • Anticipate and fix problems on set and be the official noise police to ensure good quality sound is recorded on set.

Experience And Qualifications Required.
·         Computer literate.
·         Good technical experience in a production.
·         Minimum three (3) years relevant experience in production.
·         Diploma in related studies, a degree will be an added advantage.
