Introduction
​Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi (AKUH, N) is a private not-for-profit institution that provides tertiary- and secondary-level healthcare services. Established in 1958 and currently a 300 bed facility, the Hospital was upgraded to a tertiary level teaching hospital in order to respond to the health care needs of the people of East Africa.

Responsibilities
​Training
  • Assist  the supervisor in preparing and monitoring the Training plan
  • Prepare training material and folders for training programs as advised
  • Process training requests and ensure that all necessary approvals are in place
  • Prepare service agreements as required
  • Arrange all logistics required for training programs
  • Facilitate training programmes
  • Coordinate the Employee General Orientation Program
  • Ensure post training evaluation is carried out
  • Update personnel files with certificates and other training related documents
Performance Management
  • Prepare Performance Appraisal calendar in consultation with the supervisor
  • Order Performance Appraisal forms for faculty and staff in a timely manner
  • Follow up and review the completed forms & assist supervisor in consolidating results
Quality
  • Assist the supervisor with Quality related activities
Requirements
​Applicants should:
  • have a Degree in Social Sciences with a Diploma in Human Resources
  • have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a busy HR department and proficiency in all MS Office packages
  • have excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills
  • be able to work under pressure and maintain strict confidentiality.
